Fr. Theodore G. Stylianopoulos has consistently exhibited an extraordinary scholarly biblical quality in teaching, writing, preaching, and worshipping. Always focused on the sacred text of the New Testament, always projecting the apostolic character of the Gospel, and always Christocentric in his scholarly and Church endeavors, he became a truly outstanding, deeply appreciated, and pioneer Orthodox exegete in contemporary America and beyond. He has been a visionary innovator in the field of New Testament Studies. The body of his work is exceptional. The numerous books and articles that Fr. Theodore has authored bear witness to his keen acumen and skilled insight, integrating modern techniques of biblical exegesis with Orthodox spirituality. Through these works of creative scholarship, he channeled the wisdom of the Church Fathers and has helped bring a heightened awareness of the Orthodox ethos to biblical academia in this country. His important academic work is also mirrored by the pastoral love and care that he provided to both students at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology and to the parishes in which he has served.

I commend the editors, Professor Fr. Eugen J. Pentiuc, Professor John Fotopoulos, and Professor Bruce N. Beck, for their dedication and efforts in compiling this Festschrift. A volume like the present one is truly a remarkable resource imparting rich knowledge that will benefit both students today and in the years to come.
